Get it Sorted – Protected – Proved – Completed
When a vulnerable adult isn’t receiving the care, support, or safeguarding they need, the system can feel slow, confusing, and unresponsive. We help families cut through delay, challenge poor decisions, and secure the right outcome—with a clear plan and evidence that stands up.
This service is for you if
- You believe a vulnerable relative is missing out on care or services they should be receiving.
- A local authority or NHS decision feels wrong—an assessment, eligibility decision, care package, or discharge plan.
- You need urgent action because circumstances have changed, risk has increased, or safeguarding is failing.
Problems we can help you challenge
We regularly advise on disputes involving:
- Social care and health care assessments (and reassessments)
- Eligibility for care funding and the adequacy of support plans
- Hospital discharge, interim placements, and immediate post-discharge care
- Local authority care provision and charging for care services
- Care home moves, placements, and residence disputes
- Safeguarding concerns, neglect, or vulnerable adult abuse
- NHS responsibilities and continuing care disputes (where applicable)
- Mental capacity assessments and the impact on service provision
- Managing and protecting a vulnerable adult’s finances and welfare decisions
If the assessment is wrong, the needs have changed, or the care is unsuitable, we help you challenge it properly and force a review with a structured approach.
What you’ll receive
Deliverables (tangible outputs):
- A written action plan setting out the strongest route to resolution
- A document and evidence checklist (so nothing important is missed)
- A formal challenge letter (or pre-action letter where appropriate)
- A decision-tracker showing what’s been requested, by when, and what’s overdue
- A clear escalation map (complaints / safeguarding / ombudsman / judicial review pathways as appropriate)
How it works (your timeline)
Triage & urgency check
We identify immediate risk and the quickest lever to pull.
Evidence pack
We gather assessments, care plans, discharge notes, funding decisions, safeguarding records.
Legal analysis
We pinpoint what the authority must do, and where the decision fails.
Formal challenge
We send a structured challenge with deadlines and required actions.
Escalation (if needed)
Complaints, safeguarding escalation, ombudsman steps, or urgent legal action where appropriate.
Outcome implementation
We press for the revised package/placement/funding and confirm delivery.
Close & protect
We document the outcome and set review points so drift doesn’t return.
Fees
We offer two common routes:
- Fixed-fee Case Review (recommended first step): a review of the papers + a written roadmap and next steps.
- Ongoing representation: charged at an hourly rate or staged fixed-fees depending on complexity and urgency.
What changes cost: urgency, volume of records, number of agencies involved, safeguarding complexity, and whether formal escalation/court action becomes necessary.
