Probates

What are the problems

Conducting Probate for You

Probate can feel burdensome after bereavement, with forms, tax, estate accounts, beneficiaries, banks and deadlines creating pressure when executors need practical help, clear advice and careful administration throughout the process.

Valid Will

Questions about whether a will is valid may involve capacity, undue influence, knowledge, approval, witnessing errors, later marriage, revocation or suspicious circumstances needing urgent evidence review before distribution begins improperly.

Probate Process

The probate process can stall where executors lack documents, valuations, tax information, beneficiary details or agreement, causing delay, uncertainty and frustration unless each step is managed carefully from the outset.

Grant of Probate

Without a grant of probate, executors may be unable to access assets, sell property, close accounts or distribute the estate, leaving beneficiaries waiting and estate administration blocked for too long.

Inheritance Tax

Inheritance tax problems arise when estate values, exemptions, reliefs, lifetime gifts, property interests or deadlines are misunderstood, risking penalties, overpayment, executor liability and avoidable family disputes during estate administration later.

Probates and Intestacy

Where there is no valid will, intestacy rules decide who inherits, which can surprise families, exclude expected beneficiaries, complicate administration and create urgent disputes over entitlement, authority and shares quickly.

Probate Review

A probate review can identify delays, executor errors, missing assets, tax risks, unclear accounts or possible claims before problems harden, costs rise and beneficiaries lose confidence in the administration process.
